Marvel Eyeing ‘Selma’ Director For Future Film

Straight off from directing the inspirational biopic, Selma, Ava DuVernay ay be headed to the world of superheroes. Marvel is reportedly eyeing DuVernay for either Black Panther or Captain Marvel, both of which are due for release in 2018.

Marvel and DuVernay have apparently been discussing her involvement in one of their upcoming MCU films for quite some time now. And while Marvel is looking at other directors, DuVernay seems to be their top pick.

there is mutual interest in having her join the MCU.

Says The Wrap. Not only is DuVernay’s directing skills incredible, this would make her the first African American director, and first female director of a Marvel movie.

Personally, I’d like to see her direct Black Panther, but that’s mostly because I have someone else in mind for Captain Marvel…

No matter which movie she directs, Marvel should absolutely hire her!

Which film would you like to see Ava DuVernay direct? Tell me in the comments!

    1. Definitely spectacular news! DuVernay is an experienced director and she’ll do great with either film.

I checked out your review and I must say, its quite good! I’ve never seen Under The Skin, but I’ll totally check it out now! Keep those Un-Avenging Avengers coming 🙂
